DeNovaMed is a new biotechnology company in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Our laboratory is located at the IWK Health Centre in the

Dr. Richard B. Goldbloom Research and Clinical Care Pavilion.

DeNovaMed was founded in early 2006 to further develop anti-infective drugs with novel mechanisms of action,

using research that originated at Dalhousie University. Our molecules represent a strategy for developing the first new

class of broad-spectrum, anti-Gram-negative antibiotics since tetracycline was introduced in 1953.
